He slew the beast while I hid in the shadows, beaming brilliantly (f2, f2, f2). A translucent object flew out of the monster's remains. Crouching, he motioned happily toward it.

Most times, I feel oh-so-very American. There are other days, like today, when I love love love Mexico. You see, today was an outstanding triumph for Mexico over Brazil. Yes, Brazil, the soccer superstars.

And this is not me being overly gloaty. It's just... wow... If you'd seen it, you'd feel the same way. They played an amazing game. They weren't their usual selves, i.e. giving up after one goal, and being all defense and no offense. I admit it, they're usually a TERRIBLE team. But today, even without Blanco and Borgetti, they won! :D
